2. The key points in brief

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG) and the Telecommunications Act 2021 (Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021, TKG 2021).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated technically by KernelHost GmbH, Krottenbachstraße 277, 1190 Wien, Austria, as a processor and is hosted on servers in the European Union.

When you visit the website, the following data is automatically stored in server log files:

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of the request
• Page or file accessed, amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
• Referrer URL (the previously visited page), if transmitted by the browser
• Browser type and operating system (user agent)

This data is used exclusively to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website, to defend against attacks and to analyse errors. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are rotated automatically and deleted after three months at the latest, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

4. Storage in your browser (colour scheme)

If you use the switch on the website to change between the light and dark colour scheme, your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage) so that it is retained the next time you open a page. This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us. It is only stored if you explicitly change the colour scheme yourself (Section 165(3) TKG 2021). You can delete the entry at any time via your browser settings.

5. Contacting us by phone or email

If you call us or send us an email, we process the data you provide (for example your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a treatment contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general enquiries. If you share health data with us, we process it on the basis of Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR for the purpose of healthcare.

Emails to our practice are processed on servers of KernelHost GmbH in the European Union. Please note that emails are not always encrypted throughout their transmission to us. It is therefore preferable to discuss detailed health information with us in person or by phone.

6. Map and links to other websites

The map on our website is an image stored on our own server (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors). No connection to OpenStreetMap or any other map service is established when the page is opened.

For route planning, we link to Google Maps, Apple Maps and OpenStreetMap, as well as to the emergency dentist search of the Österreichische Zahnärztekammer (Austrian Dental Chamber). As long as you do not click on such a link, no data is transmitted to these providers. Only when you click do you leave our website; the respective provider is then responsible for any further processing.

7. Recipients

As a rule, we do not pass on your personal data to third parties. Exceptions are our processor for hosting and IT (KernelHost GmbH) and bodies to which we are required to transmit data due to legal obligations.

8. Storage period

We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Treatment data is subject to the documentation and retention obligations of the Dentists Act (Zahnärztegesetz).

9. Data security

The connection to this website is encrypted throughout via TLS (HTTPS). We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access, including up-to-date software, access restrictions and browser security policies (Content Security Policy).

10. Your rights

In principle, you have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To exercise your rights, please contact us using the contact details given above.

11. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Wien, www.dsb.gv.at.

12. Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact details published under the statutory imprint obligation for sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested.
